Civil Liberties Under Assault
Oregon teacher fights to be able to carry her concealed pistol at school (AP) - Bravo to this woman! Oregon is one of the few states that allow citizens to carry concealed weapons in public buildings with a permit. Shirley Katz, an English teacher at South Medford High School, has one of these permits, and is afraid her ex-husband will attempt to hurt her while she's on the job. The school district, predictably, is saying no, in spite of what Oregon law says. America needs more people who are willing to take a stand for their rights, like this lady.
Hamline University in St. Paul, MN, suspends student, orders him to undergo psychiatric evaluation before he can return. His crime? He advocated that students be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus, arguing that the Virginia Tech massacre could have been prevented if that school had not enacted a ban on firearms (World Net Daily)

Culture in Decline
Vice, the white man's heritage to the American Indian (Dr. David Yeagley) - A very intriguing article about the moral and social decay found on the Indian Reservations across America. The writer even questions whether Gen. William T. Sherman, one of American history's greatest villains, was correct in his assessment of the people, saying 'suicide by vice is giving old Sherman the win.' Keep in mind, the writer himself is a Native American.
Lou Dobbs: Our flag belongs to all Americans (CNN) - Katie Couric, Sen. Barack Obama, and Bill Moyers all believe the wearing of an American flag lapel pin represents a dangerous 'monopoly' on patriotism. Lou takes issue with these internationalists, correctly arguing that our flag belongs to every American regardless of race, creed, or ideology.

Globalization Run Amok
Mexico's Fox openly calls for North American Union (World Net Daily) - The cat is officially out of the bag now, as Fox openly admits on CNN that he and Bush worked together toward the planning of the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas, which will eventually include a common currency.
Pat Buchanan: George W. Bush, globalist (World Net Daily) - Pat bemoans the Bush Administration's decision to ratify the UN's Law of the Sea treaty, giving the UN control of all the oceans. That's two-thirds of the planet. Shockingly, the U.S. Navy backs this decision, as do many Republican senators. What the hell are these people thinking, and where do they get off calling themselves 'conservatives'?
Illegal Alien Invasion of America
Federal judge in San Francisco blocks crackdown on hiring of illegal aliens (Washington Times) - (Excerpt) Judge Breyer, appointed by President Clinton in 1997, said the new work-site rules likely would impose hardships on businesses and their workers, adding that the plaintiffs had "demonstrated they will be irreparably harmed" if the rules are enforced. The judge, the younger brother of Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer, issued a preliminary injunction that will remain in effect until a pending lawsuit challenging the rules goes to trial sometime next year or until a higher court intervenes. The plaintiffs in the suit include the AFL-CIO, the American Civil Liberties Union, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a number of other business, labor and immigration-activist groups.
White House calling America's perceived bluff (Frosty Wooldridge) - (Excerpt) After Bush flamed out of the sky in a stunning defeat for the amnesty bill in June, he pondered enforcement of our laws. While not enforcing our immigration laws for six years after 9/11, Bush thought he might apply the law to show Americans how desperate their condition might become without illegals working the jobs that "Americans won't do." Secretary Michael Chertoff said, "There will be some unhappy consequences for the economy out of doing this."

Madmen in High Places
President Bush defends rapist-murderer to appease Mexico (Pastor Chuck Baldwin) - (Excerpt) America's biggest threat is not from al Qaeda; it is from these conniving internationalists in Washington, D.C. An al Qaeda terrorist can possibly knock down a building or bridge and kill a few of us, but these traitors (from both major parties) in Washington have the power to enslave the whole country--and that is exactly what they are in the process of doing.
Neo-con Bush Administration blasted by one of their own; former UN ambassador John Bolton calls blocking of death sentence for Mexican rapist-murderer 'ridiculous,' says Bush caving into global opinion by siding with Mexico and the International Court of Justice (World Net Daily) - Quote: "(It's) a bad mistake, but one of many mistakes, I'm sad to say, the administration has made recently."
Mainstream Media
National Jewish Democratic Council calls for Ann Coulter boycott after the firebrand commentator calls for Jews to be 'perfected' by converting to Christianity (Raw Story) - Another classic example of Foot-in-Mouth disease. I have a feeling this woman's 15 minutes of fame are finally up. Not that I would ever discourage a Jew from coming to Christ, but any pundit who says this is just asking to be black-listed by the big media outlets. It is my personal opinion (and I could be wrong) that Coulter is nothing more than a media creation, put out there to make conservatives look petty and stupid. She's done a good job of that, but now it appears she has strayed too far off the reservation. Suggesting the Jews should convert to Christianity is the lowest form of sacrilege to the Zionists who control the mainstream media. I'd be very surprised if this woman doesn't suffer much the same fate as Don Imus (wrongfully) did. Unlike Imus, however, I won't feel any sympathy for Ann Coulter, in spite of the fact I basically agree with her position here. She's obnoxious, and quite possibly the worst spokesperson conservatism has ever had.
'08 Presidential Candidates
** Tom Tancredo highlights from this week's GOP debate in Michigan **
Tancredo criticizes Bush for appealing illegal alien murder case (USA Daily) - "If the decree of some international tribunal were to trump our judicial system it would be a national embarrassment."
Pathetic neo-con Sean Hannity resorts to begging for Dr. James Dobson to reconsider his stance on Rudy Giuliani (Crooks and Liars) - I have some concerns about the likes of Dobson, but I'm glad he is standing his ground on refusing to support a pro-life, liberal Republican like Giuliani. Hannity, on the other hand, has exposed himself once and for all as the GOP lapdog that he is. Let freedom ring, huh? Not under a fascist like Giuliani!
